When you grow up in a house of a decorator dressing your home for the season was a priority.
Easter was a fun decorating season in mom's home and this beloved tree that sat in the middle of dining room table was adored in our home.
The Easter egg tree was an Easter tradition in our home while I was growing up and this was one chicken dish, out of an assortment of dishes that Mother would gather under this beloved Easter egg tree.
Mother would set an ensemble of chicks she collected over the years out on the dining room table filled with jelly beans every Easter.
My brother and I just recently recalled those memories and agreed that even though neither of us particularly cared for jelly beans, we loved getting into the dishes. So we would take a jelly bean just so we had a good excuse to play with the dishes.
The background setting for this particular table sitting full of chicken dishes was an Easter egg tree.
I was carried back to that time in my memories with this post I saw on Facebook today. It quickly carried me to the day watching mother go through the process of making her canvases of real eggs to decorate. I will have to check back with her and see if she still has any and if so see if she is willing to part with any.
